The Infamous Foundry

Following on from yesterdays blog on the importance of typography and the preservation I thought I’d highlight a couple of typefaces I’ve been using regularly for poster work.

Both produced by The Infamous Foundry, a Norwegian company specialising in fonts used for headers.

The 1st is Fancy Antique Display, this type draws inspiration from French decorative alphabets during the 1940’s and 50’s. It looks great on a cream or grey backgrounds in an off black tone. Definitely worth playing about with.

The 2nd is Herbie, an uppercase typeface made up of circles and geometric lines. It evokes a very art-deco feel to work, perfect for elegant minimal pieces.

You can buy both from the TIF website :: cargocollective.com/infamousfoundry at very reasonable prices.

Cheers folks,
